Good Job

The Gopher organizing committee, the Marathon Matters, and our sponsors would like to congratulate the participants in the 2012 Look Matters Gopher Marathon and Half-Marathon. We are happy to note that in it’s sixth annual edition it was the largest ever but, alas, still searching for that magic formula for a perfect road race.

Now that spring is back, the memory of the race weekend is a little surreal. First there was the non-arrival of medals. Then as we cursed the Friday’s cold and rain, the planned pizza lunch fizzled out and the award ceremonies went largely unnoticed. But there was a consolation. The five inches of snow Saturday morning changed the perspective; on race day we had actually lucked out.

The race results are posted on http://www.resultscanada.com/results.shtml . Scroll down to April 6 and click on any of the four choices: marathon overall, marathon age group, half-marathon overall, or half-marathon age group.

Medals and prizes will be available for pick up, or will be mailed, in a few days. Details of when and where will be posted on the website.
